About us

FirstCheck Africa is an initiative that seeks to improve access to justice and reduce crime in Africa. The initiative is designed to provide a platform for citizens to access court case information and data, as well as to manage criminal justice data and share it with the public. FirstCheck Africa also provides a web-based tool, UN-CTS-10, which is a database of criminal justice data that can be used to analyze and compare data across countries in Africa. In addition, FirstCheck Africa seeks to provide access to legal aid and resources to low-income individuals and families.
