About us

The ACROBAT challenge is an international research competition designed to advance the development of algorithms for registering whole-slide images (WSIs) of immunohistochemistry (IHC) stained breast cancer tissue sections. Teams of researchers from around the world are invited to compete by submitting algorithms that can register WSIs with high accuracy and robustness. The challenge is open to research teams of any size and is sponsored by the International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI). The challenge provides teams with access to a collection of WSIs and IHC images, and the challenge organizers provide a platform for teams to upload and evaluate their algorithms. Teams are evaluated based on a combination of accuracy, robustness, and speed metrics. The winning team of the ACROBAT challenge will be awarded a cash prize.
